They are really great. In the past I used nibs that were made from a really soft metal. They gave out a really wide varriety of lines but they didin't last very long. I started inking this page avaruus-apina.deviantart.com/a… with a brand new nib. When I was finished the nib was complitely busted. For this piece I tried a new nib that was made from a harder metal. Not as wide range of lines but they last a lot longer. Infact the nib doesn't show any sings of ware. With this new nib I can cosentrate on inking instead of worrying when the nib is going to stop working.
It's good to know what material works best for you… I realized quite fast that oil painting, for example, or chalk, doesn't work for me. Too messy or it takes too long to dry, or it just plain smells terrible XP
